FREE ADVICE ON IMPROVED COW COMFORT

THE IMPORTANCE of cow comfort and its links with lameness and mastitis will be discussed next week at a free event organised by the Midlands Region of the Milk Development Council.
Mr Roger Blowey of the Wood Veterinary Group will lead the discussion and highlight how practical measures can be taken to improve cow comfort and reduce the risk of associated problems.
There will also be a farm walk and discussion, lead by Roger Blowey and Hugh Black around Mr Black's dairy unit at Wharton Bank. Refreshments will also be served.
The event takes place between 10:30am and 2:30pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at 7Y Rural Services, Wharton Court, Wharton, Leominster, and DEFRA biosecurity recommendations will be followed at all times. If you would like to attend, please contact Harper Adams University College on 01 952 820 280
